Hi (again), I’m Emma, the founder of EC Media. I’m Aussie born with Kiwi and European roots. My business (and life) is about freedom, inspiration and joy.

My teachers knew I was a bit different when I first broke a band of fellow 5 year old’s out of our inner city, iron-fenced primary school and took them down the street for an adventure. I have a wild imagination and love putting myself outside my comfort zone and challenging conventional ideas about what’s possible. That means making decisions based on instinct and passion and sometimes being messy. It also means I’m resourceful as hell. I attract other ‘messy’ people - adventurers, innovators and artists, but also help those who need a healthy injection of ‘outside-the-box thinking’, or fresh creative eyes to solve their communication and multimedia challenges.

I believe we should all have the freedom to be ourselves, to choose what we do with our lives, to be weird, silly, passionate, intense and whatever it is we are. The people on my team, my collaborators and clients are always invited to bring all of themselves into the work we do together and I show up in the same way, vulnerable, human, communicative and with integrity. That’s when we do our best work.

As a Creative Director and Strategist, I bring a weird and if I may say so myself, very useful, mix of left and right brain skills to all my projects. I have a Bachelor of Science and a background in HR, would you believe it, as well as having engaged in visual and written storytelling mediums for decades.

I am able to tune deeply into the needs of my clients at the SAME TIME as tapping into their audiences’ needs, and can hold both perspectives in mind while steering the creative and strategic elements of our projects.

I SEE the strengths and uniqueness of the businesses and business owners I work with, helping them to showcase these directly. I also SEE when my clients are ‘beating around the bush’ as we say in Australia - that is when they’re overcomplicating things. Myself and my team help to reduce projects down to their essence, saving money, time and resources all while prioritising deep impact.
